Deathwing Librarian: Cape or No Cape?

I never liked the arms on this guy. I feel like it was a great idea to use the plastic arms, but they just don't look right on this guy. And then The King's Standard Bearer saw my unprimered Librarian in my last post and made a great suggestion in the comments: Add a cape!

I hadn't considered it before and now that I look at the model, I think that a cape would really help to make him look a lot less static...this pose is just so...statuesque! What do folks think? Add a green stuff cape or stop obsessing and finish him already?

Mind you. I will probably not be able to do both for a long time...but at least the base is done!

I say add a cape. You're right, the miniature right now does seem a bit too static. Sculpt the cape so it flows in the same direction as the tabard and I think you'll be able to simulate action to a much greater degree. Of course, I've yet to touch my tube of green stuff out of fear of failing miserably, so I'm really just urging you to do it so you can put up a really nice tutorial of your efforts!

Looks good, I think a cape would be fantastic. For some reason, he looks a bit taller and lankier than most terminators do. I think a GS Cape AND stop obsessing is your best option =-D

go on, give him a cape

I think a cape that is swaying out to one side would look good on this miniature. But that's only my 2 cents!

The arms do look a little too "gorilla" for this old short model. A cape should detract from that, so I say give it to him.

Give him a cape. Sculpt it on wax paper.

Add a cape, Ron at FtW had a tutorial about capes/cloth. It will balance out his thin lower body with the big upper torso and arms
